This might seem like kind of an odd blog post topic, but I get a lot of questions about what’s going to happen if I get on a call with you. Because of this, I thought I would share with you what will actually happen if you book a free system strategy call with me.

Why I’m Talking About This
I don’t know about you, but I’m always a little leary of signing up for a free consultation, discovery call, or strategy call. Sometimes the scariest thing is booking a call when we don’t really know what’s going to happen on the other side of the button push. These are some of the things that go through my mind and I’m sure they go through yours too.
- Is this person going to sell me on a service that I don’t really need?
- Is this product, program, or service really the right fit for my business right now?
- Will (in your case Dubsado), do what I need it to do for my business or is it just going to be another software that I collect?
- Am I ready to do this?
I thought I’d share what happens before, during, and after a free 15-minute system strategy call with me.
What My Booking Process Looks Like for the Free 15-Minute Systems Strategy Call
My booking process is pretty straightforward. You click the link to book a call. Then you’ll see my scheduler page. You can choose between a FREE 15-minute Strategy Call or you can choose to go all in and book a paid 90-minute System Strategy Intensive. Why do I do this? It’s not to trick anyone or be confusing. I just know that some people want to skip the 15-minute call and go straight to an intensive. I want to make it super simple to do that. (By the way, I book all of my appointments with Dubsado so you get to see it in action if you book a call with me.
After You Choose Your Appointment Time, You’ll Need to Answer a Few Simple Questions
Once you choose your appointment date and time, you’ll see a form with a few questions to help me get to know you ahead of the call. This form starts out pretty basic. After that, we dive into a bit about your business, what you do, what services you offer, and where you feel your roadblocks are now. All of this should just take a few minutes. You can answer in as much or as little detail as you want. Honestly, I love it when you write me a lot of information. It really helps me to understand where you’re coming from and how I can help you.
What You Can Expect Before the Call
Once you’ve chosen your appointment and completed the form, you’ll get a confirmation email with all of the details. I also LOVE to include some links to additional blog posts/videos that I’ve created to share more information about me, how I work, and my services. I want to make sure that you have all the information you need ahead of our time together so you are prepared and can ask the questions that I haven’t answered before now.
You’ll get an automated reminder or two because I know we’re all super busy and sometimes this slips our minds. (I know they slip my mind without calendar alerts.)
What Will Happen on the Systems Strategy Call
OK, here’s the part I know you’ve been waiting for. What the heck are we gonna talk about on the call? Well, I’d like to start off by getting to know you and your business. I know you’ve already written it in the questionnaire, but I like to hear it right from you. I’ll also ask…
- where you feel the roadblocks are in your business and your client experience right now.
- what your vision for us working together looks like.
- What you want your systems to do for you? (I want to make sure that Dubsado is the right fit for you and your business.)
- If Dubsado isn’t the right fit, I’ll ask what you want your system to do and help identify a better fit.
Next, we’ll talk about the services that I offer. (If you already know which one you want, that’s awesome) Then we’ll talk in more detail about the cost, what you can expect after booking with me, and what the process of delivering your service will look like.
After That, It’s Your Turn to Ask All of Your Burning Questions
Once I’ve had the chance to listen to all of your answers to my questions, we’ve figured out if Dubsado is the right fit for you and which service is the right fit for you and your business right now and chatted about it. I’ll give you the floor to ask any burning questions that you have. This is your turn to make sure that you’ve got ALL the information that you need to make an informed decision.
After You’re Done With Your Questions, I Ask For the Sale Right? NOPE!
Here’s the deal. I HATE being asked to make a decision to spend money on the spot. I like to have time to think about it and I want the same for you. Once you’re done with your questions, I’ll let you know what the next steps are. Before we get off the call, I’ll check one more time to make sure you don’t have any last-minute questions. Once we get off the call, I’ll send you the proposal for the option or option(s) that you chose on the call.
What’ll Happen After the 15-Minute Strategy Call?
Later that same day, I’ll follow up to make sure that you got the proposal and see if you have any questions. If you don’t book right away, I’ll check in the next day and send a bit more information about the service you chose. I’ll circle back a few more times (unless you tell me to get lost.) I’m not about high-pressure sales tactics or anything. I just know sometimes you need more information, get busy, and don’t finish things (so a reminder might be helpful). Sometimes now really isn’t the right time.
