Hey there, happy almost New Year! Can you believe 2025 is right around the corner? As we get ready to welcome a new year, it’s a fantastic opportunity to prep your Dubsado or CRM to kick off 2025 on the right foot. In today’s post, I’m sharing seven actionable tips to get your systems streamlined and ready to support you as you tackle your 2025 business resolutions.
1. Review and Refresh Your Workflows
First up, let’s dive into your workflows. Take a moment to ensure everything aligns with how you’re currently offering your services. Walk through each step. If you haven’t added any form reminder emails, now is a great time to add those. (That’s a workflow step that re-sends the proposal if it’s not completed in a certain amount of time. )
Make sure to review the email copy and update it so it supports the way you currently deliver your services. It’s also a great time to add your personality. If you’re a Gif or Emoji person, sprinkle a few in there.
If there are workflows you’re not using, it’s time to ditch those!
2. Update Your Packages
Go ahead and delete any packages for services you’re not offering anymore. (That blog post writing package is probably not coming back if you’ve transitioned to website design…. just saying.) While you’re at it, make sure to update your package pricing and raise your rates if you haven’t done it in a while. (That’ll help you tackle the business resolution to make more money in 2025!)
The next time you create a proposal, it’ll feel so much less effortful if you only have your current offerings in your system.
3. Streamline Your Forms
Next, take a look at all the forms in your system. Remove any forms that aren’t in use and update the ones that are. Ensure that any language supports the changes you just made to your workflows.
Also, check your branding elements—fonts, colors, photos, and logos—to ensure they reflect your current brand image. If you’ve updated your branding, be sure to change that. Now might also be a great time to give your email signature an update. (You can find that under Templates – Canned Emails.)
4. Implement Automated Emails
If you haven’t already, now’s the perfect moment to add automatic follow-up emails that get sent whenever someone fills out your contact us form on your website. While you’re att it, add payment reminders to your payment plans. Your future self will thank you for this!
While I’m talking about automated emails, head into the Dubsado automated emails and give them a refresh. (These are the emails that Dubsado automatically sends when a contract is signed and other actions are taken.) If you’ve never done this before, you’ll head to Templates – Canned Emails – Edit Templates. Click on each one and add your special sauce to these emails.
5. Archive Old Projects and Leads
Take a few minutes to archive any old projects and leads that never booked with you. Starting 2025 with a clean slate will help keep your focus on current and future clients. Plus, it’ll make it way less overwhelming when you go into you’re projects page.
6. Rethink Your Scheduler Availability
Examine your scheduler settings. Are there any schedulers you no longer use? Remove them. Next, re-evaluate your availability. Structure your time wisely to avoid being booked up with appointments every single day, ensuring you reserve large blocks of time for important work tasks. I don’t know about you, but I can’t focus on a big project knowing, I’ve got to be on a call in 45 minutes.
7. Test Your Systems
Finally, test, test, test! Make sure your schedulers and workflows are functioning just the way you expect them to. Trust me, this extra step ensures a smooth start to the new year.
