Meet Amy

I am frequently asked what is Dubsado when I tell people about my business. It’s pretty frequently followed up by, what is it used for? I thought it would be a good idea to write a blog post about it.

Here’s what I’m going over in this post

What is Dubsado

What is Dubsado Used For?

What is Dubsado’s Pricing?

Who is it a good fit for?

What software can it connect to?

What are other alteratives to Dubsado?

Let’s dive into it!

Dubsado is a Client Relationship Management System (CRM)

The simple answer is that Dubsado is a Client Relationship Management System (or CRM for short.) However, that really doesn’t tell you a lot about it and if it is a good fit for you and your service-based business.

Reasons I Like Dubsado

It was built by a creative entrepreneur

Dubsado was actually designed to help creative entrepreneurs easily book and manage clients. (In fact it was created by a photographer who wasn’t seeing what she wanted in the current CRM platforms.)

It has a drag and drop form builder

Not only that, but it has an amazing new form builder that allows you to create beautiful on brand forms without code or graphic design software (like Canva) although Canva is helpful for creating graphics or cropping photos to be the same size.

It can save you hours a week with automation

Where Dubsado really shines is with automating tasks. You can build automations that’ll manage 90% or more of your client management tasks for you so you can focus on delivering amazing services to your clients.

What is Dubsado Used For?

Dubsado is used to manage one on one client relationships. It takes the place of a few smaller pieces of software. You can do the following things with this one piece of software.

    • Appointment scheduling.
    • Capturing leads.
    • Creating and sending custom designed proposals for projects.
    • Creating and sending questionnaires, forms, portfolios etc.
    • Invoicing clients and tracking payments received (you can even create recurring payments.)
    • Tracking income and expenses. (You can even link it to Quickbooks if you want more robust accounting features.)
    • Sending contracts and collecting digital signatures.
    • Keeping track of client information, communication and anything that you’ve sent to a client.
    • Send and receive emails. (You can create canned emails to avoid having to type the same emails over and over.)
    • Managing projects, tracking the status of of a lead through their entire journey with your business.
    • Creating automations to simplify almost all of these things so they happen without you lifting a finger.
    • Give clients an easy way to keep track of their invoices, messages and other documents that you’ve sent them through a branded client portal.

    What is Dubsado’s Pricing?

You can actually try Dubsado free for the first three clients that are in your address book. After that, you have a choice of two plans. The Starter Plan and the Premier Plan. If you have additional brands, it’s $10 per month per brand. You can have up to three users on your account at no charge. (For instance, if you have an accountant who wants access, they would be a user, a VA on your team who will be helping you manage clients is a user. (Clients wouldn’t be users.) After that, you will have to pay for additional users.

    The Starter Plan

The Starter Plan is a great way to get started with Dubsado if you aren’t ready to use all the automation features yet and you have a smaller budget. It’s $20 per month or $200 per year.

The Features of Dubsado’s Starter Plan

Dubsado’s Starter Plan allows you to keep track of unlimited projects and clients, set up invoicing and payment plans and create forms and email templates. (You’ll notice it doesn’t allow you to use the scheduler, public proposals, have multiple lead capture forms (like a contact form and an intake form. You also can’t use integrations ex. Quickbooks Online, or Zapier.)

        • Unlimited projects & clients

        • Invoicing & payment plans

        • Form & email templates

      The Premier Plan

If you’re ready to use all the automation bells and whistles of Dubsado, the Premier Plan is where it’s at! The cost for the Premier Plan is just $40 per month and $400 per year.

The Features of Dubsado’s Premier Plan

The Premier Plan includes everything in the Starter plan, plus:

          • Scheduling

          • Automated workflows

          • Public proposals

          • Multiple lead captures at once

          • Zapier integration

No matter which plan you choose, use my Dubsado coupon code to get 30% off of your first month or year just use that link or enter the code amysgouldco at checkout. As a small business, you can use Dubsado to eliminate several softwares such as a scheduler, electronic signature, and electronic invoicing service. Plus, everything is in one place.

You could pay $25.00 per month for accounting software alone.

Who is it a Good Fit For?

Dubsado is a good fit for Service Providers or anyone who sees clients on a one-on-one basis. It’s not a good fit for anyone who is providing one to many services (like courses) or product-based services alone. If you have one on one services and products or courses, you could sync Dubsdao with Quickbooks to see all of your bookkeeping from all revenue streams in one place.

What Software Can You Connect Dubsado To?

You can connect Dubsado to several platforms including…

            • Email

            • Calendars

            • Zapier

            • Quickbooks

            • Cloudspot

            • Xero

            • Zoom

            • Go to Meeting

This allows you to sync your calendar and keep copies of your client emails in Dubsado. You can send video conferencing links when a client books an appointment with you. Since it syncs to Zapier, you can create a host of integrations with the applications that work with Zapier. If you want to get an idea of the options available to you, check out this page.

          What are Alternatives?

There are a lot of CRM software programs out there. They all have different features. Some are designed for specific industries. Here are a few that I’m familiar with. (This is by no means a conclusive list.) You will want to take a good look at the features and cost to decide which one is the right fit for you.

          Honeybook

          Zoho CRM

          Keap

          Monday CRM

          To Wrap it Up

Dubsado is a robust Client Relationship Management System that can help you to manage several areas of your business including appointment scheduling, managing forms, contracts, questionnaires, etc., and bookkeeping to name a few of the features. It’s a good fit for service-based entrepreneurs but isn’t designed for service providers who provide one to many services such as courses.
